I HATE Driving & the Cost of GAS Makes it Worse!
Personally, I enjoy nothing more than the peace & quiet of my home. On the other hand, also enjoy(ed) the freedom of coming & going as I damn well pleased. Some weekends I never left my house; others, I was constantly on the move. It was my choice. It was nothing for me & my BFF to get up & go to Wal-Mart (way out west) at 2:00 am or to go from one edge of town to the other, just shopping & bumming around whenever the mood hit.
I've never been one to plan running errands & such. I simply did it as the need arose. Not now! If I need groceries, I carefully consider which store, other places are in the area I can hit, etc. Just how many birds can I kill with this one stone?
We have a pretty decent public transporation system here, but it's not convenient for our office location. I still can't complain because my drive (I was threatened with bodily harm the last time I referred to it as a commute) is only 2.3 miles one-way, from home to office.
I guess the upside to this is that by not making as many trips and keeping my ass at home more often than not, I'm contributing to make our earth a greener place to be.
As usual, in closing, here's my question: How has the cost of fuel changed your lifetstyle or other habits?

Local St. Louis group protests high gas prices
I saw these people this afternoon as they were around the corner from my office.
