Now I know you didn't really think I was, as my granny & most elderly people would've said, "on the dope".
This is about my crackish tendencies with things I'm addicted to - like:
Orange-pineapple juice & hotwings - I will straight slice a ninja about these two things! Friends who have been to my house, can tell ya. I have to have my juice every morning & could eat hotwings everyday. My guests are pretty much welcome to anything in my fridge, but these items.
Softlips Lip Balm - I love this stuff! I keep it in my purse, on my nightstand, in both bathrooms, in the kitchen junk drawer, in the car and in my desk at work. (I'm afraid of Carmex after seeing how some folks use it! *lol*)
Ice Tea - I keep a freshly brewed pitcher in the fridge. My BFF bought me a Mr. Coffee Ice Tea Maker when I got my 1st apartment back in '91. I've had to replace the pitcher twice but that joker still works! I already have a replacement in the cabinet when the original finally kicks the bucket...yes it's that serious.
Household & Kitchen Gadgets - Y'all just don't know. This one deserves a blog of it's own....with photos. *lol*
Office Supplies - I have a serious addiction to pens. One of the reasons I like going to the doctor's office. They have the best pens & I usually end up with one or two. (Did I just admit to being a thief?)
My old school music - I have a pretty nice CD collection (almost 500 catalogued on an Excel sheet) and people always want to borrow them. Hell naw, Bobby. Feel free to sit & rip, but my music doesn't leave the premises. No way, no how.
Bath & Body products - We've discussed this before & I have way too much. My overstock is usually the result of my "buying not because I need it, but because it's on sale". It's so bad that my people don't even bring their own washes, etc. when crashing at my house, because I have plenty.
Now, as part of my therapy, I need my fellow fiends to share. After all, this is therapy!
PS Happy St. Pat's Day! ... and yes, I'm {part} Irish.
I used be REAL gangsta about my iced tea... I killed my first Iced Tea Pot and never replaced it. When you come back I'mma get you some loose tea from Teavana...
ReplyDeleteI'm a gadget whore...
and of course patterns and fabric are like crack for me....
Oh my, where to begin....
ReplyDeleteCraft supplies... No joke I have more craft supplies than most being have just stuff in their house. Everything for any project you could possibly imagine.. fueled by this store nearby that is like a salvation army for only craft stuff... so it is dirt cheap, and gives me extreme pleasure to buy and craft.
Bedding. As I sit on my bed, I can see into my closet, which covers one wall. There are 5 comforter sets in there. I love patterns and love switching up, but I never go back to an old one I used. But I also feel bad getting rid of them, I buy new ones at least fall and spring. Its outta hand. My new thing is quilts. I am on my second one of those.
Old costume jewelry. I love it. I love the big pins, I make them into hair clips... big rhinestone flowers and such look fabu in my hair.
computer supplies... you name the thing you need to print, labels, tshirts, cd labels, anything and I probably have the color and quantity you need.
holiday stuff. I am not even going to go into it. I have more stuff than I could name. I love decorating for holidays and now that I have my own house, its gotten worse.
Kitchen gadgets - some women like shoes, I love kitchen gadgets. I swear I always get moist in the kitchen sections of stores!!!! ROFL
ReplyDeleteScented oils - I love to smell pretty, and love trying new scents and wearing something different. I have day scents I wear that are "work safe", but every night I wear something different. Man I ever finally marry can't be allergic to nothing!!! I ain't giving up my oils!!! ROFL
My CD's and DVD's: I only lend them out to ONE person. Anyone else don't even ask!!! Shoot!!!
I can actually relate on quite a few of those! The kitchen one kills me though b/c I don't even cook!
ReplyDeleteohhhhhhhh do it, do it!!!! ROFL
ReplyDeleteOh...
ReplyDeleteThings i would prefer my guests not eat/drink while visiting
Mt. Dew Amp (especially the Cherry or the Green Tea/Yuzu joints)
my sandwich fixins (Potato bread/cotto salami/southwest mustard/pepper jack cheese/bread n butter pickle chips) ... I relax this rule when I know I'm having extended stays.
Hell... I'll shop for you and get you what you need if if it keeps you out of my stuff... my place is pretty well stocked most of the time though.
Alright.
ReplyDeleteMy Coca-Cola, Oodles and Noodles (Chicken), my CANDY, and my Ipod.
What they do with it??..nevamind...I prolly don't wanna know. Hubby is definitely addicted to it. I read the ingredients on the can, and did'ja know they put salicylic acid in there? Oy vey...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, my shoe whorism has been fairly well documented around these parts....LOL Also I have a penchant for printing off articles I read on the internet. I need to quit it because pretty soon I may need an intervention like those hoarders you see on Oprah or How Clean is Your House.
girl I do that too!!! then find stuff months later and wonder why I printed the dang article out!!!
ReplyDeleteit eats up the dead skin on your lips to uncover the new skin underneath.
ReplyDeleteI hate that stuff, cause it burns when I put it on.
Yeah that stuff is pretty lethal... Didn't know that about that acid...learn something new everyday!
ReplyDeleteTNP, I found a magazine article I copied & printed back when I was in HIGH SCHOOL! I think it was from YM (Young Miss) or Seventenn. Somethin's gotta give....like NOW! LOL
I had that issue with my very 1st PC purchase. I just (like 2-3 weeks ago) threw away CDs for Windows 95 & 98 programs...*smh*
ReplyDeleteSalicylic acid is one of the main components of ASPIRIN.
ReplyDeleteI use a 2% salicylic acid face wash but I think it's making me peel more so I'm going to quit at least till the summer when I need it.
*Salivating at the thought!*
ReplyDeleteGirl!! You & Boyfriend 2.0 could be BFFs. He loses his damn mind & I know he's been *ahem* excited in the kitchen stores/sections. *lol*
ReplyDeleteI didn't even mention shoes. That's a given for most of us.

Omgoodness Moni have you ever tried sun-tea? Just let your tea bags seep in a big jar in the sun it's so much better than brewed to me.
ReplyDeleteHere's my list of things i love:
Lip gloss: I have loads of the stuff and i wear some form of it to bed. it's a must!!
Sushi: Yes raw and uncut! I am addicted to this stuff like crack and feel like i have to have a dose at least 2-3 times a month
Purses: And not just designer but all kinds. I am a pocketbook lover.
Eyeshadow: It's become my passion as of late and i am still trying to get every color of the spectrum from glittery, shimmery to matte and semi-matte.
Hot Green-Tea w/ cream: It's my morning ritual instead of coffee. I traded in the Folgers for a nice hot cup of lipton green tea and i feel much better for it.
Bath and body wash and spray: I don't like anyone to smell like me so don't ask if you can use it. Please and thank you.
I'm not into sharing any of these and don't like when people ask. I get pretty anal about my stuff.
