I was watching "Scream Blacula Scream" (1973) and wondering if black people really held wakes/funeral with the dearly departed laid/stretched out at home (like Italians..or do I watch too much TV?").

    I remember one of those in my neighborhood back in the day. I also remember them bringing the body past the house before going to the cemetary too
