Summer is Officially Over

Rating:★★★
Category:Other
Not that I'm a summer time person anyway, but the Midwest winters can be brutal & I'm just not ready for all that madness. It's been rather chilly the last few nights (like 50 degrees) and I've gone from cropped pants & sandals to a jumper & tights. What the hell happy to the happy medium? LOL

On another note, I'm gonna try to sneak in another quick getaway before the hawk sets in.

I plan to curl up with some hot chocolate & force him to watch Sex in the City (the movie) with me this weekend. If you happen to hear blood curdling screams, it's just him protesting. *lol*

  1. Well if you need some extra sun i'll be happy to send some your way. It doesn't get cold like that here in Az and we can wear sandals practically year round. We don't have regular seasons. It's either hot or hotter. Take your pick.

  2. That's the nice thing about living in the south. It's definitely cooler here, but still really nice and I know it won't get cold until probably November, maybe even December. We have nice long falls here and get to watch the leaves changing color soon.

LOL amoure at the "hot or hotter". Kinda like Montana where I grew up, it's either cold, or colder!

  6. I would like Winters but nothing like Chicago (blizzards are not my friend) I have only seen a minimal amount of snow and it's nothing over 2 inches if that. Plus extreme cold is not good for my skin *giggles*

  8. You cant even see my frigging legs today for these thick opaque stockings I'm wearing. ICK ACK and YUCK! The good news is I can stop getting pedicures and shaving my legs.

I've been in the stores looking for a new pea coat or a short trench to carry me to winter. I don't wanna break out my leather just yet.

  11. surprisingly the east coast is king of the cold these days. not to say it doesnt get cold here in Chicago but comparing it to that of say 10...15 years ago... this is a breeze. the blizzards are minimal now. when it does snow its either flurries or a blanket... and the blankets in recent years are far and few.
The east coast, when it comes to winters... is out of control

  12. it's a very breezy low 60's on the high side of DC... damn cold this morning if you ask me...

I've lost my taste for cold... once I left Pittsburgh and didn't have to deal with the BRUTAL winters I was a much happier woman.

I love the fall, caint wait to go leaf peeping :D

  14. Here in Birmingham, it has been really nice. I wish it would stay like this, but I know that eventually the hawk will make its way through.
