I was going to write a dedication to my baby sister, who would've been 20 years old today, but I can't right now. I'll just say it's been almost 10 years since she was killed & I still miss her so much.
I had a conversation with my mom last night about my dad. He died in 1995. We were talking about how it is pretty amazing how the people left survive. When he first died I seriously thought I would die of a broken heart.... then you somehow crawl through it and survive and then you have lots of great days.. but some days it just plain sucks. I guess what I am saying with all that is maybe you can choose to celebrate her life today... because it would be her birthday, and it would be a happy day. Save the sadness for another day (if thats even possible) and choose to focus on the blessing that she was. :)
I may be way out of line, but I'm sorry, I just have to say that you just can't tell someone how or when to grieve, just be supportive and leave it alone or don't say anything at all. Sometimes **HUG** is sufficient.
