As I venture around the wonderful world wide web, I've noticed lots of photos of, you guessed it...feet!
This is one of my fav pairs of shoes & I can wear them all day without issue.
Like many other women, I love shoes! I especially love those shoes that make my long legs even sexier than I've been told they are when I'm wearing my short skirts/dresses.
What is it about the high-heeled shoe that will make us endure discomfort? I'll admit to having my share of cute shoe pain, all in the name of vanity or as they say these days, preserving my sexy.
Even tho I'm overweight, my feet didn't get the memo! (Thank goodness for small favors.) I'm still able to put on & work my 'hooka heels' {as my road dawg KitKat calls them when I wear them to work} & sashay with the best of 'em!
I really get a kick out of the skinny heffas at my office who say, "Those shoes are cute" when I know "How does her fat ass walk in those shoes?" is what they are really thinking. That's right bitches!! Don't choke!
I recently bought a pair of 4 inch skinny heels, but I had to return them. Mama couldn't hang. I'm OK with 3.5 inch heels being my max. I'm damn near 6ft tall in the 3.5's anyway.
Fellas - what exactly is it about women's feet and/or shoes that makes you ga-ga?
Ladies - do you endure a lil shoe pain in the name of vanity?
I love those pointy toe heels.
ReplyDeleteI'll just leave it at that.
they just make the legs longer, the feet sexier. maybe i am reachin but its almost a powerful thing. Very powerful dominate, and sexy, yet seductive and feminine at the same time. don't get me started!! lol!!
ReplyDeletei plead the 5th..lol!!!
ReplyDeleteLMHO -- they're pleading the 5th QQ in down...........:)
ReplyDeleteI used to endure, cause my ego was way too large
but over the years as my behind started to catch up with the ego,
so my attitude changed, so you go girl........... 3.5"
But honestly, I had to get comfortable in heels at first, I was always tall
and felt silly being 3 more inches taller
But when I realized that I was sexy in them,
I got over that shy thing quick, and learned to buy good shoes for my big feet. LOL
I dont! I only wear them on special occations! and they must be comfortable. Wedges are my thang!
ReplyDeleteEnduring pain for shoes is something I REFUSE to do. I'm comfortable in heels but I know my time limit in them also. I love the way my feet/legs look in heels, but if those bad boys hurt, they won't be worn again! I like the fact that I have "pretty feet" and they will quickly turn into BEYONCE feet with just ONE PAIR/ONE WEAR!
ReplyDeleteI'm what you would call a foot admirer. Like I don't think I have a fetish, just an appreciation for women with nice feet so I'm about a step or so shy of the fetish level. But as for heels, I have an appreciation for them because of how ga ga I am over women in skirts. There is something about a nice set of heels that just sets of a skirt and makes it even that much more sexy
ReplyDeleteHrumph speak for yourself. When shoes hurt they get TOSSED, or donated. I can't wear shoes that hurt my feet. Can't do it. LOL
ReplyDeleteI like heels, but I can't wear them high because of back issues, and I can't wear skinny heels because of a balance issue. If I wear a pair of shoes, and they hurt me that day, I either get padding so I can wear them again on special occasions, or they are going to the Thrift Store. Plus, in the summer, its very obvious whose footsies have suffered slavery to the shoes, and I don't want my feet to look like that. Double and Triple Corns, and bunions with a right angle. NO THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteI love shoes also, but I can't stand the pain. I have a very comfortable pair of 3 inch wedges I can wear all day. Other than that, I prefer a lower, more comfortable heel for work. I'll save the "cute" for special occassions. I remember once I was with my former boss/friend who is probably in her mid 50's. We saw this pregnant woman in what looked like 3.5 inch pointy toed stilettos. Adrian said she must be at the age where impressing people still mattered. LOL It ain't that serious.
ReplyDeleteGirl you know me and my shoes, i love me some heels and will wear the heck outta some 3.5 and 4 inch heels in a heartbeat...the higher the better for me, especially with me being so short. Now you shoulda checked with me on those heels before you returned them...keep in mind, i wear a 7.5 and some 8's...:-)
ReplyDeleteA blog after my own heart. My 360 page background says "live well, laugh much...wear cute shoes!!" I live by that motto. I just bought three new pairs of shoes this weekend, added to the one pair of cute mary janes I have been DYING for that my hubby finally got me for the birthday. In total I've gotten seven pairs of new shoes in 2 weeks. They are all heels, the tallest being 4in. I always wear my CFMs to work. And like you, I've had ppl constantly commenting on them ad nauseum. I think they are a bit jealous because I'm so darn cute in my stilettos. Yes, I said STILETTOS in the office. LOL. I'm a bad girl, I know. I do endure some pain for the sake of being cute. Shoot, beauty is PAIN in my book. However, I have broken down and started wearing more wedges. I do have to have some "sensible" shoes in my collection.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the calf muscles are flexed and ....
ReplyDeleteWhat was I saying?
I am only 5 ft tall and I will wear my heels every chance I get, just to look a little taller and to make my short legs look more beautiful, especially wearing a mini, but not too mini.......lol.
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for open toed shoes, well not the shoes but how the feet are shown off in them, but I have one request thou, that woman pledge to follow the Rules when wearing sandals and other open-toe shoes:
ReplyDeleteI promise to always wear sandals that fit.
My toes will not hang over and touch the ground,
nor will my heels spill over the backs.
And the sides and tops of my feet will not pudge out between the straps.
I will go polish-free or vow to keep the polish fresh, intact and chip-free.
I will not cheat and just touch up my big toe.
I will sand down any mounds of skin before they turn hard and yellow.
I will shave the hairs off my big toe.
I won't wear pantyhose even if my misinformed girlfriend, coworker, mother, sister tells me the toe seam really will stay under my toes if I tuck it there.
If a strap breaks, I won't duct-tape, pin,
glue or tuck it back into place hoping it will stay put.
I will get my shoe fixed or toss it.
I will not live in corn denial; rather I will lean on
my Foot Works from Avon if my feet need help.
I will resist the urge to buy jelly shoes at Payless for the low, low price of $4.99 even if my feet are small enough to fit into the kids' sizes.
This is out of concern for my safety, and the safety of others.
No one can walk properly when standing in a pool of sweat and I would hate to take someone down with me as I fall and break my ankle.
I will take my toe ring off toward the end of the day
if my toes swell and begin to look like Vienna sausages.
I will be brutally honest with my girlfriend/sister/coworker when she asks me if her feet are too ugly to wear sandals.
Someone has to tell her that her toes are as long as my fingers and no sandal makes creepy feet look good.
I will promise if I wear flip flops that I will ensure that they actually flip and flop, making the correct noise while walking and I will swear NOT to slide or drag my feet while wearing them.
I will promise to throw away any white/off-white sandals that show signs of wear... nothing is tackier than dirty white sandals.
I will promise to go to my local nail salon at least once per season and have a real pedicure (they are about $15 or 20 and worth EVERY penny).
Now am I asking to much ?
I wish I could wear a pair of heels like that... I think I have some of the most fragile ankles ever.. I could be in some casual flats or my gym shoes walking and all of a sudden I twist my ankle... Even outside of my tomboyish ways I like to dress up sometime, but I've never been able to get into the heels. And if and when I do wear them, they have to be ankle strapped... I dont mess with those slide on pumps or heels... For some reason I just feel less comfortable in them... But I do respect you ladies that can rock em everyday...Its kinda funny, cuz when I see big or small ladies wearing cute pairs of shoes or heels,,, I dont feel like "How does her fat ass walk in those shoes?"... but mostly, dang girl....I wish I could sport those bad boys... But I guess really, its all in what makes you comfy... I love my AF1's and my other casual shoes.... I'll leave the heels for you shoe whores...lol
ReplyDeleteAnd Jessie... that picture was just so wrong... lmaoooooo
ReplyDeleteCute shoes, Mo! I don't wear heels and I'm not a shoe person at all. Yep, I'm all woman! Not sure what happened to me! =)
ReplyDeleteShoes with training wheels..LOL
ReplyDeleteWell start you off with the kitten heels...and see how you progress.
I can't wear heels at all b/c of tumors in my feet. When I was a kid though, about 6 or 7, we were at a garage sale and I found some 3-4" heels for a quarter. I convinced my mom to buy them for me for playing dress-up. I don't know why, but I LOVED those shoes and I guess I just had this natural ability to walk in them. In fact, I remember actually running races in them with the neighborhood boys (and beating them!!! LOL!)
ReplyDeleteI have never been one to wear shoes that hurt my feet just because they were cute. If I try them on and I KNOW they are going to hurt, I don't buy them. Now I do have some that get uncomfortable after a couple of hours, but anything that off the bat hurts, won't be bought
ReplyDeleteI use to be a heel person but never have worn anything much higher than a pump. Now, I shy away from heels. I do love shoes and i enjoy looking good in shoes but just don't like to be uncomfortable so i will settle for flats or really tiny tiny heels. Also, although I am short I have a fear of falling in a pair of heels or wedges so I stay away from them at all costs.
ReplyDeleteIt makes the legs appear longer, and sometimes more curvaceous.
ReplyDeleteDont feel bad... Im kinda the same way...
ReplyDeleteHardy ha ha... lol
ReplyDeleteMe and the sis are going to a concert tonight at the Park West and they usually tend to be really dressed to the T.. with the suits and sexy dresses and the heels... And sis loves doing all that super dressy shit with the tata's a bit exposed and skirts and the heels... Now I cant stand sis half the time,,, but I may need her to help me dress tonight... I cant walk in there with jeans a tshirt on... So pray for me when I go shopping today... that heffa will have me buying some pencil thin, to damn tall for me heels... And watch I break my neck... lol
May have to stick to my flats.. or really small thick heel... Dammit, more ppl otta wear casual and gym shoes like me... lol
You were a better girl than I was... lol
ReplyDeleteI AM a STILETTO woman!!! I LOVE stilettos and most of my shoe closet is filled with them. However, I've started wearing them "off and on" because I'm trying to avoid doing alot of damage to my legs and / or feet. Here's a few in my collection.....
ReplyDeletejessedrobertsonsr had me dying, but he is speaking the truth!!!! I hate seeing chipped toe nail polish. Just yuck!!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteMy polish is chipped right now which is why the toes are covered.
ReplyDeleteI touched mine up before I hit the door this morning & let 'em air dry in the car!
ReplyDeleteLOL well at least you touched yours up.
ReplyDeleteIn the spring and summer I repaint my toe nails every Sunday. If I look down and it's chipped I pull out the mules!!! LOL
Good someone with sense!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhew...that should be my polish...not mine.
ReplyDeleteDang you girls are something else with the heels.... Yall probably wont let my gym shoe wearing ass in the Hooka High Heel Club... lol
ReplyDeleteMy newest pair.... feels like you're walking on air...
