Sadly, I did not enjoy this movie as I thought I would. The best parts, imho, were the bathroom scene (that shit was hella funny!) & the dinner table/cutting of the meat scene.

I agree. The bathroom scene was funny. That was one of my favorite scenes in the movie as well and my other two were Chris's character singing This Christmas to his mother and the dancing at the end of the movie.
Home for the Holidays was off the chain. That family was nuts but sometimes I like white comedy more than I do Black comedy...wow another blog. I think anything with Diane Keaton, Shirley McClaine and Goldie Hawn is funny. Them old broads got it going on.
As someone who was raised in the house alone...i can appreciate this movie. I used to go to my friend's house round the holidays she had 11 brothers and sisters. They had man fun but you had to have a thick skin.
My other favorite part was when she let that Escalade go down the sewer.

It was better than I thought it would be but still wasn't great. Regina King in a thong was a nice bonus though.

ReplyDeleteWell, I actually enjoyed it...sure it was almost "Soul Foodish" but I am just a sucker for a family movie. Maybe because we don't have enough of them.
ReplyDeleteNow some of my FAVORITE family holiday movies are, The Ref, Home for the Holidays and Mixed Nuts. ALL white movies but hilarious as hell.
