Public Blogs & Spying Eyes

I googled my all of my user-names, just for the hell of it & discovered a lot of my fellow Plyers have public blogs.  I was able to view the blogs & all of the replies in my search.  Gladly, none of my blogs appeared as I only extend mine to my network.  Just thought you all should know.

PS It's the last day of vacation *sigh*, it's cold as a whore's heart & I'm bored as hell.

    Yeah I have googled myself and seen that my entries show up. I need to start setting mine to network only. Thanks for the clue. Today is also the last day of my vacation. I need another week.

    Nan-nanny-nan-na! I don't go back until Thursday! BUT,I have a root canal scheduled for tomorrow! Which is worse???!

    I knew public blogs could be googled. All of my public blogs are just that...okay for anybody to read. The ones that are only for certain eyes are marked that way.

    BUT...thanks for reminding me that my COMMENTS on other people's blogs can be public! That's one reason why I think about EACH COMMENT before I post it and on a lot of topics I am real vague. I don't need everybody in my business like that.

    Which is why I did not use my real name for multiply. I'm learning to either use a fake name I can remember or something else.

    Y'all just be sure to set the "security" on your blogs, photos, etc. (not the music tho or it won't play) to network or contacts only. That might remedy some of it.

    OK I did it again & somma y'all still have your blogs & such set for "everyone" - everyone meaning the entire WWW not just Multiply users. If you set your postings to network only Multiply users will be able to access

    oops, I'm guilty! But again, I don't think my topics are that far out in left field that I need to limit it to multiply users. These people are strangers, too?

    You're not missing anything, but for the most part, if only fellow Plyers can access at least you can see them....or who they portray themselves to be. That's the one thing I like about this site - you can peep who's peeping you.

    ok, gotcha. I just changed all of mine to network. I will remember to do so going forward. I guess I failed to realize that even though my topics are pretty mainstream, some people may not want their comments blasted all of the world! =)
