Happy Easter!

That's yours truly on Easter in '76 (I think).

Long gone are my days of anticipation of the infamous Easter Bunny, my goodie filled baskets & cute dresses for church on Sunday.

In my old age, I know the true meaning of Easter - The Resurrection of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

Even though I was raised in a Christian/Baptist household &  remain spiritual, I'm no bible scholar, but am curious about something - Why is Easter never on the same Sunday?

  1. *cute pic* yeah, it is not about the eggs, baskets, cute clothes. It's about the resurrection and the celebration of him paying the cost for all.

  7. Do you all teach your kids about the Easter bunny bringing the basket & goodies? I was just wondering because on another message board, this momma was livid because she saw a Walmart commerical telling mothers to come to their store to buy Easter basket essentials. She felt like it was ruining the suprise for the kiddos.

Me personally, I say the basket is from me....

    What say ya'll?

  8. I believed for a long time. Even when I found out Santa was a fraud, I still believed in the Easter Bunny & The Tooth Fairy. I let my son believe as long as he could.

  9. Happy Easter !

The bunny brings the basket, but I also give my children presents. This year new jammas, bathrobes and bunnies I made.

Holidays are big in my household, and we believe in Santa, the Tooth Fairy, and the Big Bunny, for as long as possible, and even then, I will still sign things from Santa and EB :)
