Multiply Love & Hate

Ha!  Thought I was talking about you didn't ya? Well I kinda sorta am.

Here are a few things I love & hate about Multiply:

  • I love that you can customize the viewings of your posts.
  • I love that you can pick & choose who sees what - by groups and/or individuals.
  • I hate when my fellow 'Pliers flood the message board with mass videos (even tho I love the ones that wax nostalgia) & blog imports (this needs to stop! LOL).  Here's a teeny tiny lil suggestion - post all your vids & import all your blogs (if you can) without the notification then post a single message or link announcing the mass imports & let your contacts knock themselves out.
  • I love that you can pin your favorite posts to the top of the message board, so you don't have to fish for the ones you wish to follow.
  • I hate faceless & unconnected users repeatedly viewing my page.  Even with limited viewing, that shit is just creepy.
  • I hate that people who connect with you, yet never interact with you, will try to re-add you 15 seconds after you dump them.  Sorry Chief.  I have no desire to be a part of your wall of fame or shame.
  • I hate that sisters have found it necessary to cyberstalk and/or contact the women who are connected to the men in their lives.  Ladies, this has got to stop - like yesterday!  Check your man!  Don't bring that shit to me.
  • I love that you can page hop without being connected to everybody & their mama.

Most of all, I love that I'm connected to some of the best folks on-line...ever!

  1. You pinned all my blogs... that was sooooo sweet... lol

And the cyber stalking thing... is like the weirdest thing to me...maybe cuz I haven't been cyberstalked yet... Wheeeeeeew,,, thank heavens...

And I love Multiply more than any other site that I've been on so far...

  2. I admit, I wasn't too keen on this place when I first got here... but now I really like it.

How about I like the fact that things work!
I love the fact that things are in our inbox as updates post to them (great way to stay on top of a hot blog on so-and-so's page)... I love that you don't have to refresh a page to see what's updating on it (the blog comments appear as they're posted, so again, you don't lose anything in a hot topic)

    I still miss 360 though (a little)

  3. Whatchutrynasay!!!!!!!!! LOL

Guilty as charged! I love my videos and music...

But I agree with this list chica, esp the part about not needing to connect to someone to be connected. There's no pressure to build up hundreds of contacts to know someone. I see so many folks and interact with so many people whose pages I may never visit, and vice versa. But at the same time, it's all love. Overall I hear very few folks whinning over ppl not reading or commenting on their blogs or pages.

  4. Silky... you dont have to tell me you like hanging out in my spot... I already knew... lol Im just kidding...

But I to love the fact that things update instantly... thats kinda why I dont even go to 360 anymore...

I cant understand how people say they go back to 360 cuz Multiply is too slow... Slow Where?

  5. LMAOOOO... Im on a mission to reach 300 for no real reason other than doing it... then to get delete happy... Ok, Mo... I'll take that jacket now...lol

  6. One thing about multiply that sucks royal ass is that there is no BLAST function. But I love the way I can post the links, and ya'll can comment on them for everybody to see instead of just send ME a personal msg. I used to accomplish all kinna shit through my 360 blasts!!!

  7. What's HYSTERICAL is that I stayed with 300 folks on my list... and would have to delete one person to make room for another one... over here I think I have 140 contacts and it's not like the list is about to blow up exponentially... and I'm cool with the level of interaction I have on my page. (I'm not one of those folks that if you don' t respond to or view every blog within a month I delete you. Trix are for kids.)

  8. Oh... and I like it cuz I can post 6 gazillion photos on here.... which reminds me its time for you guys to get some more pics.....

  9. Me too but i started using my reviews section as my blast section...though it's a bit tedious.

  10. Seriously, with the whole number of contacts thing.... I like having responses to posts,,, the serious ones and the funny ones... and not that Im a freak for responses... but i like hearing different opinions and sometimes the more the merrier... But ironically the more contacts I get the number of responses hasn't gone up... that math and logic aint working out to well...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah Yahoo sucked for limiting the number of contacts you can have...

Red, that's funny, I have like 30 something friends on my list and lately I've gotten lots of responses, which just shocks me!!!. I had the same number of contacts on yahoo...more or less, but it's weird that on here, you are open to a whole world of people thru the close network, which I love. I value all opinions, POVs, and thoughts on my blogs. It's really nice though to know ppl care to comment on what you write.

I too have started using the Reviews for Blasts. I picked that up from GlamaQueen. I enjoyed laughing with y'll about Project Runway yesterday. That was a hoot!

  12. **pouting** I missed that one
And I missed the damn finale out running the streets with my biker fam... but I'll catch it in the next few days I'm sure.

    ReplyDelete
  13. They played the finale back to back yesterday. I'm sure my DVR will pick up the other nineteen thousand times it will air again this week.

You know who won right? (Don't want to spoil it if you didn't)...

  14. LOL...I just blogged about this! It's just crazy, and I don't feel like I should have to create a filter and miss things I may want to see from a select few, because folks wanna post a buncha stuff all at once.

As for the blog imports, I saw one that was recently posted (that hadn't been edited) and was originally posted in 360 back in 2006. *heavy sigh* Stop that!!!

The "stalkers" can't really be considered stalkers because over here you can see them. The REAL stalkers were the ones on 360, kicking your page views up by the hundreds per day and never saying Jack.

  15. EXACTLY and honestly some of these women are only crushing. They don't truly have this man!!! This man is NOT thinking about them or they would not have to resort to this type of behavior. It's quite silly.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I walked in the house minutes before they announced the winner, so yes, I do know... and I wasn't surprised (and I haven't even seen the runway shows)

    ReplyDelete
  17. I saw it last night, but you know they will repeat it a few times. Anyone going to watch that new dancing show that starts in April on Bravo?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I wanted to whip Christian for some of that mess he sent down the runway!!!

TNP are you talking about that show with the girl from Saved by the Bell?

    ReplyDelete
  19. They done lost their mind with all these freaking dance shows. Ian Ziering is hosting one on Oxygen called Your Mama Don't Dance.....*sigh* Enough already. I am looking forward to the new Dancing with the Stars...

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm really going to avoid that... I managed not to get hooked on Real Housewives, and them skanks in New York have even further repulsed me.... But Top Chef and WorkOut are coming back so I'll be looking for those. I'm mad I got sucked into this Make me a Supermodel ish cause I don't mess with ANTM.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think we all do. Hell it's how I met most of y'all. :o)

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOL I actually enjoy them. Watch So you think you can dance in the summers, been watching the one on MTV, hope to catch some of dancing with the stars, Might watch the one on I thought it was Lifetime with Ian Ziering.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Only reason I watch Supermodel is for Tyson and those lips. Lawdy!!! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think that because they now know people do read or at least see the content and just choose not to comment.

    ReplyDelete
  25. See you already KNEW what I was gonna say!

    ReplyDelete
  26. That's probably the one thing us blast junkies miss most. Hell me, TNP, Diggy, Mike & a few others are still some 360 blasting fools! HAHAHA

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think I'm reality TV'd out. I'on even watch a few of the popular ones because I can get the updates from you.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Shoot only dang thing that works over there!!! ROFL

    ReplyDelete
  29. Okay I so need to stop watching TV. People at home thinking "TNP will blog about it I don't need to watch!!! ROFL!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. You know what though y'all... I feel like I fell off HARD... I lost the last half of Rock of Love... I couldn't get into I love New York or ILNY2... and Flavor of Love 3 never made it into my lineup....

    ReplyDelete
  31. I wish I would fall off, but nooooooo I'm right there in the mix. ROFL!

    ReplyDelete
  32. After ILNY2 & FOL2 I vowed never again. So far I'm true to my word.

    ReplyDelete
  33. And my sisters friend Rayna... didnt make it... she got kicked it... I cant say that I was so upset about it..lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. Because i'm a total ignoramus, if someone stops by multiple times without saying anything, I go to their page. I might say something like, 'I see that you've visted my page... HIIIIII' *lol*

    ReplyDelete
  35. P.S. "Radiooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ooooooooo, how about

    "How are you today?"

    Sincerely,
    The Object of Your Desire

    LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oooh, ima have to use that one!!! *LMAO*

    ReplyDelete
  38. If only we used our powers for good. Hee hee!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Good list, MO. I don't have anything new to add. Overall, I like Multiply a lot better than 360 because it has more cool features.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I hate that one too. I know that I can be guilty of connecting with folks and then not saying anything else. Sue me cause I have my favorite folks and don't get around to "dropping love" on everybody's homepage. If they boot me from their list, I have no problem with that. I am not gonna stomp and pout to have them re-add me so I can keep my "numbers up". So, if I disconnect from somebody I do not understand why they come RIGHT BACK and try to re-add me. That's clueless.

    ReplyDelete
  41. And how do I "not notify"? That's a trick I need to learn. Sometimes I post videos basically just so I can go back and watch them anytime I want without fishing through Youtube. But I don't necessarily want to bog down anyone's inbox with them.

    ReplyDelete
  42. There's lil box that's auto-checked about posting to the inbox or something like that. Just uncheck it. Also if you have the latest version of Real Player you can downloand the vids directly from youtube.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks Mo! I'll have to find out more about Real Player. That's Greek to me.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I appreciate that I haven't not encountered any weirdo "Foreigner" invites or comments.
I love multiply. I have been tempted to shut down my 360 page but oh so many memories...LOL
I do miss the blast though. I like how I can blog hop too.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I hate that my job has blocked Multiply and by the time I get a chance to respond to a post the damn convo ain't even about the blog at hand. Shoot!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Be glad! I get one about every few days...in a language I can't identify, let alone understand. *eyeroll*

    ReplyDelete
  47. Awww damn. I'm probably one of 3 people who use 360 and Multiply in our office.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh, I also love all the various page layouts that other folks have created to help us spice up our sites.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hmmm...no mention of google spell check here. =)
