The companies who have no fee for the first bag will hopefully sell more tickets! We need to show American Airlines that they are NUTS! $30 roundrip for ONE BAG!
I can only use delta and northwest to go home b/c they are the only airlines that go to my hometown and I already knew about their fees, but didn't realize it was so many other airlines. I also recently heard that as of something like July 1st, airline prices could be jumping up as much as $150 a ticket *sigh* I REALLY which amtrak would come a LOT closer to my hometown! I have no problem with taking a 3 day train ride for 1/2 the cost (at least!), but the closest station is 4 hours away from my hometown.
Sheeeesh... Might be cheaper shipping your stuff through UPS... lol
I try to travel as light as possible... Always end up buying too many clothes, taking too many clothes and then end up not even wearing everything I brought... Im a 2 bag kinda gal unless Im going somewhere over a week...
I have never done that before then because it all fit in one bag, then they started weighing the damn suitcases. I only bought the 2nd bag to lighten the load in the 1st. They got one heavy bag fee outta me and they weren't getting another.
well, its all about getting money... I swear on the 4 flights coming and going to the D.R. me and the dude probably paid nearly 50 bucks in just snacks alone... damn can soda for $5... I could buy a whole case for that amount...
Thanks...I usually fly Air Tran or Delta.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually on either American or Southwest. Southwest has NOT jumped on this bandwagon yet. Maybe I can luck up on a good fare for the east coast.
ReplyDeleteI sure didn't luck up on one for the kids to go to Tampa *rolls eyes*
ReplyDeleteThanks Mo!

Frontier Air got me once for an overweight bag, but I fixed it by buying an extra bag for my shoes on the return flight.
ReplyDeleteI guess my chunky heeled sandals won't be traveling w/me anytime soon.
