Let us pray for this child's recovery.

If you must have a gun in the house, PLEASE exercise extreme caution if minors will be in said home.

  1. Such a shame. I say no weapons in the house of any kind, especially as long as there are small children living there

  2. The precise reason why I have a FOID card, but no gun. I never even wanted to risk having it in the house. This is terrible.

  3. Damn he couldn't have put the gun in his garage?? Who would want a gun in the same house as children?? That was dumb ass move. This was a week ago. He should've called the police. In the blink of an eye children will do something they have no business.

  4. He said that he put in it a place that he thought they wouldnt go or that it was off limits... I dont know a lot, but I do know a 4 and 2 year old dont have a real concept of things that they should NOT touch... Hell, I got a 7 yr old running around here and sometimes he worries me.. so i definitely wouldnt be bringing in anything to harm him or myself... But its still a sad case all around... And I'd pray that his sympathy is truly for his baby and not to be liant on him in court for having that gun.. I know thats sad to say, but I've heard and seen some really fucked up things... I do pray that lil boy pulls through and pray for that 4 year old... even though he's young and may not fully understand what he did... but we never know what type of effects things have on ppl that can play out at a later time...

It makes me so sad just to see kids not being able to enjoy their lives and their youths... cuz Lord knows they have enough to deal with when they get older...

  5. wow, definitely in my prayers. Reminds me of when I was growing up in MT, lots of folks have guns, it's a big hunting state and I remember when I was about 10 one summer about 3 or 4 kids were killed or maimed from being accidentally shot by their siblings or friends, and these weren't little kids like this story, but about my age.

Does anyone else find it a bit ironic that he had shot and killed his brother 10 years ago? I thought it was.
