VS & Bath & Body Works have gotten a grip from me over the years. Lawd, don't let either of them release a new fragrance that I like - I tend to go buck-wild.
When VS introduced the body butters, I had to go get a jar for every scent I already had. I love that stuff.
What are some of your fav B&B essentials? Fellas, don't be afraid to chime in. You know we love a man who smells nice.
I love me some bath and body stuff. My cousin was a manager at Bath and Body works. Talk about a bargain hunting nut! That was me. I tend to get stuck on a fragrance for a long period of time. First it was VS Strawberries and Champagne. Then Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar. Now, it's BABW Japanese Cherry Blossom. That is my daily fragrance since Christmas. I love any bubble bath as long as it's hypoallergenic. Taking long baths is my favorite pass time, so those come in handy. I also like the body creams. They seem to last longer and make me softer than lotion.

ReplyDeleteLOL That is funny. None of the food scented stuff actually ever makes me think of food. Weird. But once I read this article that conducted some sort of test or survey and found that men prefer food scented fragrances on women. I forgot the scientific reason they gave and I don't know if it is true of the male majority. Maybe some of your male readers will let us know if there is any truth to this theory.

ReplyDeleteI loooove Bath & Body Works... I have 2 gift cards from them and I'm just waiting patiently for the next big sale... then it's on & poppin'... LOL! I also love the Japanese Cherry Blossom. I tend to stay away from food scents (Vanilla, Cinnamon, Mint, etc...). I am opposed to walking around smelling like a big ass cookie... HAHAHA!
I received a gift basket from The Body Shop for my last birthday and a gift set from Carol's Daughter for Christmas. Those products are all amazing!
I haven't tried Carol's Daughter yet. It's on my list (especially since I AM Carol's daughter. My mama's name is Carol. lol)

ReplyDeleteI heard we have a Carol's Daughter kiosk in one of our malls. You know I'm on the look out. I hear great things about it, but I'm iffy about buying unknown scented items.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand patchouli. I love to burn incense but that is my least favorite scent. Lavender, rose, jasmine or strawberry and far better. Patchouli makes me think of old burnt leather and cowboys.

ReplyDeleteThe Carol's Daughter stuff that she sent me is called Shea Souffles... similar to butters but "airy-er" in texture. She sent three scents... Mango Melange, one called Groove, and Almond Cookie...

ReplyDeleteI have fallen in love with the Sensual Collection (Japanese Cherry Blossom; Sensual Amber) and Sea Island Cotton Blossom (formerly known as plain ol Cotton Blossom) from B&B Works. I like Strawberry Champagne from Victoria's Secret but not too much else from them.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite subject!!! I'm hooked on Bath and Body Works as well. My favorite fregrance from them has to be White Cherry Blossom. Close second ... Honeysuckle, then Warm Vanilla Sugar.
ReplyDeleteI've also become addicted to Avon Naturals Blueberry/Vanilla and Vanilla. I used to be crazy over the strawberries and cream until that got discontinued. I think that they discontinue stuff just to make us mad. I also like their Planet Spa almond and honey products, especially the body scrub. Using that was like a sacred moment. Nothing has ever made my skin feel that smooth!!!
On the regular, I use Johnson&Johnson's Softwash products (lotion and body wash) from any drug store because its gentle on the skin (after a while, the perfume starts to irritate my skin). I use it for the light fregrance on those days that I feel like having that clean, just out of the tub smell all day long. That smell is like an orgasm in a bottle to me.
Oooooooo Stormy, I love the Softwash Melt Away Stress & Extra Care. I use these when I just need to shower without all the extras.

Oh my goodness...That cupboard looks like mine as well. I have a lot of VS and B & B products in mine. My fav has to be Cotton Blossom and Exotic Coconut, with Warm Vanilla Sugar. I have also began to like the Japanese CHerry Blossom and Sensual Amber. Oh don't even talk about VS products..I am hooked and my last buy was the very sexy shimmer body spray. I have stocked up on items from B & B like it's going out of style...LOL But I love it. The body butters are excellent and not to mention Carol's Daughter as well. I had the pleasure of getting a couple of items last year and I got the line of Groove....awesome, just simply awesome. Have a great smelling weekend ladies..:-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't ventured into the VS brand, but sounds like I need to! I'm hooked on Bath & Body Works! Love it! I've also tried Carol's Daughter Almond Cookie. I LOVE it! Although I don't like the bottle they use. It's the kind you squeeze and if you leave it open, it dries making it difficult to use ALL of it! I plan to write them a letter about that!

Seems like these two are quite popular. I have the regular cherry blossom soap but haven't tried these two.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of BBW...just passing by that store gives me a headache. When I do get brave enough to venture in there, I like to sample those aromatherapy lotions in the dark bottles. A friend of mine gave me a sample set of the one for energy..I think it was some sort of citrus blend. It was nice! I used to like the classic BBW fragrances years back when I would wear it, like the Cucumber Melon or Sweet Pea.
ReplyDeleteI've tried Vicky's Secret Pink fragance set and it was reallllyyyyyy niiiiiccce! Quite sexy and very lovely smelling. Right now I'm into my Vera Wang, Truly Pink....got it for Christmas and I'm definitely hooked.

B&BW use to carry a line called Picket Fences. There was a Pears & Apples scent that I loved!! They damn discountinued the line. I hate when that happes.
ReplyDeleteI can stomach the Japanese Cherry Blossom longer than I can Cherry Blossom, but I have that too. The Sensual Amber is just a soothing scent to me. I am more into the Aromatherapy Scents than the others though.
