A question for the fathers, alleged fathers & mothers alike:
Have you ever had to have/order a paternity test? Feel free to elaborate as you wish.
I'm no saint & I have a past (somewhat scandolous, depending on who you ask) but I was never fucking that fast & furious to where there could be a question as to who fathered my child. No guest starring on Maury for me. Naw chief...ain't happening.
For what it's worth, TJ never denied fathering my child & he was a damn good dad for the first three years & then just fell off. He's always been in the boy's life, but not like I feel he should have.

ReplyDeleteI've never taken one(though I have questions about the boy lol). I remember once I was walking with my daughter and this older gentleman walked up to me out of the blue and said "Son, you'd better not EVER go into anybody's courtroom trying to say that child isn't yours cause they would put you UNDER the jail" LOL. Not quite what you want to hear from a perfect stranger but it indicated that my daughter and I have somewhat of a resemblance. My son only has my eyes, aside from that he doesn't look much like me, but the eyes are so spot on it's creepy(I have always felt I had creepy eyes).

ReplyDeleteIt's funny how the genes/looks skip people in the sibling pool. My oldest looks like dad, the youngest looks like me, and the middle looks like my sister! LOL Go figure.

You can look at R.J. and tell he's my son. He looks exactly like pics of me at his age.
ReplyDeleteBeen there done that....I took a patenity test with my daughter when she was (7) yrs old...At that point even if I wasn't her father nothing would have changed, she still would have been mine...

Well with Maia, there was a chance that she was my ex's brother, so we tested that, and with Mekai I thought he may have been Real's from I LOVE NY... but turns out they were both my ex's... LOL
ReplyDeleteseriously, I've never been through that, but I am sure tons of people do, cause men just use it as an extra step before they are required to pay child support :)

ReplyDeleteI had to submit to a paternity test (everyone is tested, not just the father and child) because of the idiot that is my son's ignorant father. That was THE MOST humiliating moment of my life. I don't see how those folks go on Maury shows and the like. I could have spit venom on that mothersucka for making me and my child go through that when he knew all along there was no question of paternity. Then to make matters worse, after the boy and I had done our part of the test, it took almost another full year for the idiot to complete his part. (Because he already knew the outcome would be positive. He just thought I wouldn't go through with it and he'd be off the hook). Y'all just do not know the ignorance this man put me through. He even went so far as to fake his death to keep from taking the paternity test. Forged a letter from his mama proclaiming his death to the child support office and everything. Lawd just have mercy on his soul. Cause he is gonna need that and more.
