I love this song. Yeah this is one of those songs where you dim the lights, get your drink on, and think about that old dude you loved but wasnt no good for you. Then you laugh and cry off of it. I know this is what my aunt use to listen to when we were kids ,and would be over to her friends house. The kids in the room playing and the grown folks listening to this. LOL I remember those days. She talking her talk aint she? LOL
yeah, the song is nostalgic, not that i had a dude like that before, no. but it's the way marlena sang the song, so cool and yet she makes you feel like the woman in the song. nostalgic cause i heard this song when i was in my early teens and i kinda liked the song that hearing it again makes me remember my teen years! i used to sing too, but not anymore, and how i wish i still had the courage to sing.. the way marlena sings hehehe, wish on a star!
OK I gotta tell y'all I was listening to this & my nephew asked if the woman was singing to her son. Kids are funny!
