Not that I'm a party animal or anything, but the cold definitely keeps me on the inside.
St. Louis is notorious for freezing rain & ice storms. The temp is gonna drop to 31 & coupled with the rain, it ain't gonna be nothing nice 'round these parts.
I hope to start & finish shopping for my nephews & nieces this weekend and get some long overdue housework done.
Remind me why the hell I still live here.....
PS That pic was taken from my front porch after the 2006 ice storm.
Funny, I thought almost those exact words earlier today. The Midwest in the winter SUCKS!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful, sunny 64 degrees day here in Bessemer.
ReplyDeleteThe Treehouse was good.
That's funny to think about, I spent nearly every summer growing up in STL & East STL and never once been there in the winter. In Chicago it's 22 right now with an icestorm coming this afternoon, I'm in and online for the day. :)
ReplyDeleteGirl, Multiply is OFF THE CHAIN! You can now reply via audio or video! WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, back to the blog. I was thinking the EXACT SAME THING! Who wants to go out in cold, rainy weather? Not me!
You KNOW I'm feeling you on this one Monni. We are supposed to get this freezing drizzle off and on all day and tomorrow it's freezing rain. I GOTTA WORK DANGIT! I'm putting in TODAY to have Tuesday off since that's supposed to be the bad ice storm day. I ain't ready for all this mess! It's too early. This is usually FEB stuff.
ReplyDeleteawwww. i haven't been to the lou in months. i been in the house all weekend too. it's cold in the chi. i haven't seen that snowstorm were were promised. -- yet --
ReplyDeleteWell, it was 80 degrees here today and I'm STILL spending the weekend in the house. I'm tired. That's my excuse. LOL
ReplyDeleteha ha ha. i wish i could see an 80 but ya know what. it's ice storming outside. dang. i guess i'll be trapped another day inside.
ReplyDeleteI would love some snow. As long as the utilities didn't go out, I would happily enjoy my free snow vacation.
