This is a simple one - when was your/her due date & when was your/her actual delivery date?
Being that I was 16, pregnant and in denial until I started to show, a lot of my experience is a blur to me, but I will never forget that day.
Doc's estimated due date was September. 6. The boy child decided August 28 was the day. I remember being teased by my cousin {the day before I popped} about being pregnant for so long & I jokingly said, "I'm having this baby in the morning since you're so sick of looking at me!" *eyeroll* Lo & behold, it was no joke.
I remember when they wheeled me to the maternity ward and the nurse asked, "When's your due date, doll?" I tearfully replied, "Sept. 6." She said, "Close enough!"
.....and so it began.
My first at age 16 was due July 21st....He was my fireworks on the 4th instead.....
ReplyDeleteMay 26...and obviously, as of this present moment, I'm still bakin the 8lb muffin in the oven *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThis blog was for you too..but you probably figured that out. She'll be here before May 20...otherwise she'll be a Gemini. *shudders* :o)
ReplyDeleteI was just hoping my son didn't come on Labor Day...God forbid if giving the miracle of life jacked up the family BBQ. LOL My gramps would not have been happy about that.
ReplyDeletedon't even get me started on a Gemini girl-child *cringes* woo wee...
ReplyDeleteDue date 12/21/83 induced on 12/23 and delivered on 12/24 and I've been stuck with a capricorn chile ever since(don't know how I survived)
ReplyDeletewell, I don't have any kids, but I know I was due on August 18th and finally October 18th they cut me out b/c i just wouldn't come out on my own no matter what. Mom always joked that I must have known how hard my life was gonna be with my medical situation and didn't want to come out. My brother was born almost 5 years later, his due date was also August 18th, but was born August 21st with C-section as well.
ReplyDeleteI think my niece was due in April early part, but instead she came March 31st.
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKudos and Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers.
*hugs*
I don't really 'member the kids exact due dates, except my oldest was just a few days late, but he made his entry just on time Oct. 30, 1998 (I was soooooo happy not to have had him on the 31st...I was not in the mood for docs and nurses in halloween costumes aiding my delivery...LOL)
ReplyDeleteMy middle was due sometime in January 2000. All I know I was afraid that the dreaded Y2K was going to shut down the power grid in the hospital and I'd be forced to have an old fashion birth with a pot of hot water and some towels with no pitocin pump...LOL He came just in time to beat any such craziness on December 29, 1999.
My last and final had a planned birthday of March 1, 2003, due to my high risk status and he was induced as planned no problem. Although it would have been cooler had he been born two days later 3-3-03.
Wow...my first child, my daughter was due Dec. 26 ... she made her GRAND entrance on Dec. 6th by C-Section! My oldest son was due Jan. 14th he made his GRAND entrance on Jan. 18th! Now my baby boy ... he was the easiest to birth...he came natural !! His due date was March 25th and he made his GRAND entrance on March 26.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS (((( BIGG HUGGS))))
ReplyDeleteI dont have kids but according to my mom, I was a stubborn baby and didnt want to come out. Just as the doctors were preparing to take me, I came right out sucking my thumb and wouldnt cry.
His due date was January 15th and I had a planned C-Section on January 15th. No fireworks. No drama. Just signed in, undressed, got gased, got cut, woke up, BOOM there's the baby.
ReplyDeleteI have always wondered about having a natural birth after C-Section. I was always under the impression that if you have one C-Section, that's what you have to have subsequently. One reason I don't want to give birth again is because I don't want that vertical second C-Section cut. LOL
ReplyDeleteI know a few people who've had both. However, one of my BFFs had has three (3) C-sections.
ReplyDeleteSo where do they cut on the third time?
ReplyDeleteI'll ask her.
ReplyDeleteWell, I did it ... so it can be done. My boys were delivered vaginally after my c-section with my first child, my daughter....one scare was all I could take! My baby boy was the easiest like I said, he just slide right on out like a fart! LOL
