Desk rage spoils workplace for many Americans!

Altho an interesting read, this is quite disturbing.

Most employers & even major medical carriers provide some sort of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at NO COST to you! Use them!

  2. Ironic that you just sent this! I just forwarded this article to my managers at work:

We've been dealing with a LOT of these issues as of late, even with our peers! I got into it w/one yesterday b/c of her approach to me and my employee.

  3. People who are normally peaceful in the workplace are becoming raging lunatics. Gas prices, traffic jams, personal issues, lay-offs, etc.

I know I have a slight touch of road rage, but luckily I don't have far to drive each day. I can only image what my demeanor would like be after driving 20+ miles in 10 mile an hour traffic AND then dealing with the yahoos on the floor. My ass would be in counseling or on my way to unemployment.

  5. Desk rage is a mofo... and with all the SISTAHS in this office? Whew. Sometimes shit gets thick. But I need my job as I have plenty of toys to pay for. LOL

My commute is 47 miles each way. However my office hours are 10a-6p and I'm usually not bumper to bumper the whole way in or the whole way home unless the weather is supremely shitty. It gives me time to gab (thank god for Bluetooth)... listen to music and decompress... think, Pray....

On the bike, all I can do is focus on the road and that takes everything away!

  7. *raising hand* That is what I am doing right now. These people don't understand that my usual low tolerence for ignance is even lower.

  8. I've been testy, but I've also been able to be able to blow off the steam one way or another. Hell, I only get one day a week off but I refuse to allow stress to get the best of me. I have a commute also but I make sure I schedule my hours outside of rush hour. If I'm in it, I get out of it and take the scenic route...leaving home in enough time to do so. It's all in planning and that's what I've been talking to my employees about also. I know we've got a lot to deal with out here financially, but it's not worth our health, which is what it will come down to.

MIAMI HERE I COME!!! :-) LOL

  9. Lucky Rob.

I just passed a co-worker in the hall who was uttering many an expletive under her breath. I politely put my head down and tried not to make eye contact. Whew! That was close!

  10. LOL @ ncognegra!

You know what, I learned a LOOOOOONG time ago that you have no idea what burdens/mental issues people are dealing with so I am extra careful now about how I treat people and what I say to them. Any little thing could set somebody off.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do when they just GO OFF ON YOU for no reason.

  12. You can always pay someone else to do it while you're conveniently in the potty.
